The Presbyterian Church of Hamilton is a congregation that takes seriously the lifelong spiritual development of the church community. We encourage members and participants to find their place, not only in the worship life of the congregation, but also to participate in one of the many study and fellowship opportunities that are available on Sunday mornings and at other times during the week. We use the best available resources to assist members in discovering their God-given gifts, values, strengths and passions, and help them use these gifts in the service of Christ.
Study and fellowship opportunities available monthly include:
The Presbyterian Church of Hamilton is intentional and passionate about raising up a new generation of Christian leaders. Leadership training classes for deacons and elders are provided by the pastoral and program staff, assisted by seasoned leaders in the church. These classes include biblical and theological themes at the heart of the reformed tradition, best practices in church governance, small group leadership training, and training in the spiritual disciplines.
Leaders-in-training are paired with mentors who agree to provide personal support and direction in their preparation. Initial assignment to a leadership role in the church is made with the particular gifts and interests of the new leaders in mind, and mentors will be available to confer with them as needed.
It is the hope and vision of the The Presbyterian Church of Hamilton to equip and support leaders who will not only shape the future of this congregation, but who will also provide faithful and committed servant-leadership to transform the larger community, for the good of all.
