At The Presbyterian Church of Hamilton we have intentionally designed our facilities to accommodate our unique mission: to be "The Heart of Christ in the Heart of the City". Our diverse worship services, community and social ministries and our many fellowship and learning activities are supported by an inviting, efficient and accessible physical environment. The imaginative redevelopment of our downtown campus has energized our long and rich heritage as the pioneer church in the Hamilton area.
Ongoing ministries to young children and their families, adults in need of help and hope, and a wide variety of fellowship and educational activities are supported by facilities that can easily be reconfigured to suit the needs of the varied programs and community service activities. Worship spaces are designed to serve both traditional and non-traditional worship styles, and allow for larger gatherings in which the entire congregation comes together for intergenerational interaction and celebration. Child-care and classroom facilities are clean, safe, and attractive. Youth activity areas are filled with weekend and weekday activity that makes the church campus a hub of community life.
Much more than just another church building in downtown Hamilton, our campus serves as a cultural focal point in the community, hosting performing arts and public lecture series that enhance the quality of life in the whole city. Concerts offering classical and more contemporary musical styles draw audiences to the main sanctuary/auditorium of The Presbyterian Church of Hamilton. Occasional public issues forums and round tables provide a setting where thoughtful discussions relating to the public good are conducted. Close cooperative relationships with the Symphony and Chorale, the Fitton Center, the Civic Theater, City of Sculpture and with various social service agencies interweave our mission with the greater good of the whole community, and distinguishes us as the leading faith-based community destination in Butler County.
Due to the development of a physical campus that is interwoven with the mission of The Presbyterian Church of Hamilton, our membership is growing in all age groups, with increasingly diverse demographics. We are a church with a high and broad purpose, so we strive toward high goals. Our new facility plans preserve the rich historic legacy of The Presbyterian Church, and embrace the needs of the future. The needs of all of our stakeholders are taken into consideration in the facilities design, and the welcoming environment reaffirms our commitment to embody the good news of Jesus Christ in the heart of our community and beyond.
