The Church's Vision Statements

The Presbyterian Church of Hamilton is looking to the future. Our congregation has been at work since June of 2006, as the church moved toward formulating specific goals called Vision Statements. The process began with interviewing members. The purpose of the interviews was to define our strengths and to give a sense of where the congregation wants the church to be in 10 years.

As the Vision Statements began to take shape, several open meetings were held in March, 2007. The meetings gave anyone attending an opportunity to raise questions and further refine the goals. The meetings also began to develop a plan to meet the goals. In June, 2007 meetings were held at the end of each Sunday service. The Vision Statements were presented and feedback was encouraged as we continued to refine these goals. So now our objective is to work toward accomplishing the goals over the next 5-10 years.

One final note, please take care in reading the statements. Each statement gives us a snapshot of what we want to see when we look at our church 5 or more years from now. Some parts of the statements have been accomplished or are in early stages of development. But whether already in place or a goal for tomorrow, the Vision Statements show us what we value and allow us to measure our progress. Please share your comments and questions.
