The Presbyterian Church offers a couple of scholarships and/or loans for students seeking a higher education assistance.
Mayme C. Wittkugel Christian Education Scholarship is offered to an outstanding high school senior for church activity. "Outstanding high School senior for church activity" is defined as a regular attendee who is also a significant contributor of time, talent or financial support; and that senior is not required to be a member on the church's active rolls. There are two pages that need to be completed and submitted at the same time. The application deadline is April 1st of senior year. This scholarship is sponsored by the Christian Education Committee. Cawein Education Fund is an interest-free loan that is available to members of this church for the purpose of post-secondary education. "Members of this church" is defined as active member on the church rolls. A copy of the student's latest transcript and one letter of reference must accompany this application. There is no deadline for this application. This scholarship is sponsored by the Christian Education Committee. Any questions may be directed to Kathy Bolen.
The Mary Elizabeth Sheard Fund is offered to college students majoring in music from our congregation. "From our congregation" is defined a regular attendee who is also a significant contributor of time, talent, or financial support and that student is not required to be a member on the church's active rolls.
